If the Demo Tries to Open with Adobe Acrobat Reader...
This means that Java did not install correctly or the file associations for JAR Files (Java Files) is incorrect. You can try reinstalling Java and restarting your computer. If that fails to fix it in Windows, just run this little utility to fix the file association.
On MACs, if the reinstallation of Java does not fix it, you can try manually associating the file to Java Runtime.
- Right-Click on the “TheNewWritePro64Demo.jar” file and select “Get Info” from the contextual menu.
- Find the section labeled “Open with” and Select the Application “Java Runtime Environment (JRE)”
- Click “Change All” and the program should now open properly.
